Malaysia Travel Privilege Card [Giveaway Closed]
A smart traveler will always be on the lookout for good deals and discounts – anything to stretch the budget.
One of the many ways to save money on attractions is by purchasing an all-in-one city pass. I’ve personally used the New York City Pass and Istanbul Tourist Pass and both passes gave access to a lot of top sights while racking up a lot of savings. Now, I’m happy to learn that Malaysia too has a similar pass called Malaysia Travel Privilege Card!
What is Malaysia Travel Privilege Card?
Malaysia Travel Privilege Card is Malaysia’s first travel discount card that offers great savings on entrance fees, food and beverages, accommodation and transportation throughout the country.
This card is brought to you by Ministry of Tourism & Culture Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia Penang who recognize the growing numbers of Do-It-Yourself travelers (me included). Most travelers nowadays prefer to craft their own itineraries, allowing as much freedom and spontaneity so the Malaysia Travel Privilege Card is the perfect complement to their planning.
What “privileges” do I get by using this card?
For starters, the discounts you will be receiving is significant. I’m talking about minimum 20% discount for major attractions and museums, 15% discount for hotels and another 15% discount for cafes and restaurants. While most city passes often have a maximum number of usage and time limit, this privilege card is the most flexible tourist pass you’ll ever encounter. Here are four reasons why:
(a) Valid for one whole year – Around September of each year, a new set of cards will be issued and they are valid until 31 December of the following year so you don’t have to worry about not fully utilizing your card.
(b) Unlimited usage – You can use this card as many times as you want. Just flash it at any participating outlets to enjoy your discount.
(c) Great for a family of four – Family travelers take note: the privilege card is entitled to the card holder and family, up to 2 adults and 2 children for each time of usage.
(d) Open to everyone – The card does not discriminate. It is open to both domestic and international tourists for a flat rate of RM25.
So, how can I get my hands on Malaysia Travel Privilege Card?
You can head over to their official website – Malaysia Travel Privilege Card – to learn about the ever growing list of participating outlets (last I heard, the newly opened Movie Animation Park Studios has been added to the list) and the many ways of purchasing this card OR you can join this giveaway by answering a few simple questions!
I’m looking for 5 LUCKY WINNERS to have the chance to bring home Malaysia Travel Privilege Card! All you have to do is to fill in a form and answer 3 simple questions correctly.
(Here’s a hint: all the answers can be found on this post and the official website. You’re welcome.)
